Kaleigh told me she had a dream about Kenzie. I asked her what her dream was about and she said, "Kenzie was a little girl and she looked like me." I asked Kaleigh if Kenzie played with her in her dream and Kaleigh said, "yes, we had lots of fun."
I know that Kaleigh's world is about to turn upside down. She has been the only child for three years and she is just a little spoiled. But, I also know that Kaleigh will be a wonderful big sister. You ought to see Kaleigh playing with her baby dolls. She is so sweet and loving to them. She loves people, the Christmas break was long for her and she really missed her friends from daycare. Kaleigh always tells me when Kenzie comes home we can eat together, sleep together, go to church together, and school together. Therefore, I think she is really excited about her sister coming home.
On the otherhand, my heart also goes out to Kenzie. I realize she has been with her foster family since she was about one month old. When we get her, we know the first few days will be so scary for Kenzie. We will really turn her world upside down. Everything she knows will be taken away from her. We look different, smell different, sound different, feed her different foods, and dress her differently. It really breaks my heart to think what she must be thinking when we get her. I just pray that she bonds and attaches to us like Kaleigh did. Please keep us in your prayers. JILL
